a space to unwind and recharge...

'Opening to Spring' Yoga Retreat

14th-16th March 2014

at Tilton House, East Sussex

A weekend of yoga, delicious food, and time out for yourself!

This retreat will be a nurturing space to replenish and revive, with a varied practice of gentle and more dynamic hatha yoga, deep relaxation and meditation. All levels are welcome, including beginners, and postures can be adapted for injuries and health issues.

The arrival of Spring is an exciting time. Everything is coming alive and awakening, the days are lengthening, and the earth is warming up. But seasonal change also has its challenges: our immune system is under greater strain, and it can be hard to shift winter heaviness and really rise to the occasion!

So how do we harness this potent time? Nature gives us clues: every flower that blossoms is rooted deep in the earth, drawing on all the nourishment it needs. We too can benefit by taking time out to rest and recharge, thus enabling us to open more fully to the season of rebirth and new possibilities!

Tilton House is the ideal place for a retreat. We'll practice yoga in a beautiful yurt with its own wood-burning stove to keep us cosy and warm. You’ll have plenty of free time to take in the beauty of the South Downs and cliff-top walks, relax on the sofa by a roaring log fire, or enjoy a massage treatment. The food is top quality vegetarian cuisine, and you can help yourself to drinks and snacks.
