This retreat is set in a beautiful valley of the Pyrenees, with stunning views and a wonderful programme of relaxation and rejuvenation!
There'll be two yoga sessions on most days (about 12 sessions in total, usually 8am to 10am and 5pm to 6.30pm), either in the purpose-built wooden studio, on the outside decking, or in the garden.
There is plenty of time to rest and enjoy the beautiful surroundings - you can walk to the local towns of Eus and Prades, or perhaps enjoy a swim in the river!
On-site there is a small swimming pool with sun-beds, a large garden with hammocks and a comfortable terrace for relaxing.
Brunch, snacks and the evening meal are included. The food is a real highlight of this venue; delicious home-cooked vegetarian cuisine.
The retreat includes two excursions – one day at the beach to relax and chill out, and one trip to the mountains where we'll do a short walk and practice some yoga and meditation in nature.
Massage treatments are available for those who wish, and our hosts offer optional one-to-one sessions - Robert is a qualified homeopath and Kate gives coaching and theta-healing. I also offer private yoga and coaching.
If you'd like to explore the area more, perhaps stay an extra day or two nearby. I'd recommend that you don't plan doing much extra travelling or sight-seeing during the actual retreat, apart from perhaps short trips to the local towns, as this time is all about practising the art of doing very little!
We will be taking a 'journey through the chakras' and the qualities they represent in our lives. Each day we’ll focus on one of these energy centres with yoga, meditation, and reflection. My aim is for the retreat to give you a nurturing and supportive space in which to rest and explore this journey in your own unique way.
This will be a fairly intimate and quiet retreat because of the countryside setting and small numbers (maximum 8 students). You will be taking a break from the ‘outside world’ in many ways, breathing plenty of fresh mountain air, and enjoying moments of deep silence as well as making new friends. Beginners are welcome.
Retreat centre and the area
Kate and Robert’s attractive property is nestled in a valley of the Pyrenees mountains. You will be able to experience for yourself the magical energy of the Canigou, the sacred mountain of Catalonia, and the lush green surroundings of "La Méditerranée Verte”.
Fresh mountain streams flow through many of the surrounding valleys, even in the height of summer, and the whole region is steeped in local history with many ancient sacred sights. The amazing quality of light, spacious clear blue skies, and stunning landscape all invoke a sense of relaxation, well-being, rejuvenation, and a close connection with nature.
There is a purpose-built, fully equipped yoga studio with outdoors decking, and a separate guest kitchen with tea-making facilities, fridge, stove etc.
Accommodation is simple and mostly camping-style in chalets and tents, apart from one room in the house. Bathrooms are shared.
The feeling of this venue is more like staying with friends - it can be wonderful to experience this more simple and mostly outdoors way of life.

Included: yoga sessions (approx 12 sessions of 90-120 mins each), accommodation with brunch, snacks and evening meal, 2 excursions (beach and mountains), transfers to and from Perpignan (airport, train station or frogbus). Food is vegetarian, and most special diets can be catered for with prior notice.
Not included: travel from abroad (flight/train), travel insurance (essential), transfers from airports other than Perpignan, extra excursions, massage and one-to-ones.
Please aim to arrive in Perpignan by 5pm at the latest on 17th (earlier in the day is also fine), and depart Perpignan airport or train station from around 12 noon onwards.
(If you fly Ryan Air from London Stansted, either of the two flight options works).
The nearest city and airport is Perpignan (40 mins from the retreat centre, and your transfer is included), and the nearest train station is Prades (10 minutes from the retreat centre), or Perpignan. There are flights to Perpignan from a few UK airports (Stansted, Southampton and Manchester last time I looked, but there may be more options) and trains from Paris (as well as the Paris Eurostar, it's worth checking out the Brussels Eurostar and changing in Lille as this can be simpler than the change in Paris, which involves going to a different train station - check out www.seat61.com for useful tips and guidance).
There are more flights to Girona/Gerona in Spain (then you can get the bus to Perpignan, www.perpicat.com), and you may also like to check out other airports in southern France, for example Montpellier, Toulouse, Beziers and Carcasonne, and then connect to Perpignan or Prades by train. The flight companies serving these airports (from different places in the UK) include Easyjet, Ryanair, Flybe, British Airways and Jet 2 (and there may be more...). Each French airport has its own web-site with details of airport shuttles to the train station, and a useful place to start researching French trains is www.seat61.com.
