Postural alignment and core strength
One-to-one sessions can include:
- posture assessment with advice and exercises to improve your posture
- core strength training - improve posture, strengthen your back and improve perfomance in sport
- address back pain and structural conditions (eg scoliosis)
Core strength is responsible for holding us upright and in good alignment, and for our ability to balance. It is the power behind our physical strength and stamina.
Poor posture and weak core muscles are the most common causes of back pain, and often joint problems and tiredness. Remedial Yoga can act as a preventative measure, or address a specific problem.
I will take a full medical history and examine your posture in different positions. I will then take you through specific exercises to help bring your body back into balance.
Many people also come to me for core strength training to improve their performance in sporting activities, and good core strength can also reduce the likelihood of sporting injuries.
