Yoga with Fiona Tasker

Daytime yoga classes in Hove

“Every stretch is an opportunity to take care of yourself."

> No classes running at present. Email to join mailing list for updates.

> One-to-one, private groups and remedial yoga available during school hours.

> Private sessions in pregnancy yoga, birth preparation and mum & baby yoga also available.

My name is Fiona Tasker and my approach to teaching is inclusive, light-hearted, down-to-earth and mindful. You are encouraged to go at your own pace, listening deeply to what is right for your body in each moment, and there is no competition. Although my approach is gentle, I will challenge you with some dynamic movement too so that you leave the class feeling well-stretched, energised and at the same time deeply relaxed and peaceful.

I am keen to make yoga accessible and can offer adjustments for most health conditions. Beginners are welcome.

Click on the right-hand menu for more details, including Yoga classes in Hangleton (Hove) and one-to-one yoga all over Brighton and Hove.

About me

I have been practising and studying yoga and meditation for nearly 25 years, including a variety of styles and traditions.

I began teaching in 2001, while still with one foot in my career as a human rights specialist on Latin America for Amnesty International. I qualified both as a yoga teacher and a yoga therapist, with a special interest in adapting yoga to support different health conditions. I then went on to specialise in pregnancy yoga, postnatal yoga and baby yoga.

In 2003 I moved to The Netherlands to teach full-time, running a busy yoga studio in The Hague and working as senior tutor for yoga teachers in training. I also taught postgraduate training in pregnancy yoga and yogadance (not at the same time!). And I am still learning of course! In 2009 it was time to come back to the UK and I set up Yoga Brighton and Hove.

In addition to weekly classes and monthly workshops, I also teach in companies, one-to-one sessions, yoga therapy, NHS postnatal depression groups, community classes, fundraising events and yoga retreats.
